Making waves on Wave Street

Wave Street Café opened its doors in September 2015, carrying forward a legacy that began decades earlier. Our owners were founding partners of the beloved Trailside Café in the late '90s — and when they returned to this corner of Cannery Row, they brought the same soul, the same scratch cooking, and a few recipes regulars still ask for by name.

Tucked into Steinbeck Court on the lower level, the café opens onto a warm Spanish courtyard: stucco walls, red umbrellas and a wisteria-draped pergola, flowers spilling over the rail. Beyond the patio, the bay — runners, walkers and cyclists streaming past on the Rec Trail.
